Let's Begin

My sister, Lisa and I are very excited to open our first online store artlegacyshop.com representing our mother, Deanne Lemley.  I grew up watching my mother, paint, teach, gain many accolades and honors with notable organizations in the United States. Additionally, I witnessed the struggle to raise us four kids, nearly single handedly. I witnessed her strength and courage to follow her dreams in a very male dominated profession and become an award winning artist.  

Many people have the misguided idea that being an artist is somehow glamorous and easy.  I can assure you it's nothing of the sort.  Even if you are remarkably talented as Deanne is, that doesn't equal success, fame, or money.  If you want to be an artist there MUST be a fire in the belly, a desire to create that burns from with-in, not for money or praise or attention from the public, but simply because you must create and find it a fantastically rewarding process.  I hope you too will find your passion, because in doing so, you will find your destiny.    

It is my privilege to honor my mother Deanne Lemley, and her works here, and make the offering of Giclee's through Art Legacy Shop to the public for the very first time.
